Terror

Terrible atrocities happen every day.
No one sees.

"Unity" has taken on a different meaning-
How does anyone "unite" when we close our borders?

They tell you it's "nationalism".
(Racism)

That you're "un-patriotic".
(Terrorist-sympathiser)

It takes the light of suicide-bombs to burn your retinas,
When you're living in the light.
(Dark)
So some more shit happened.

I'd tell you that the people who did it are "monsters" or "not human" or "selfish" if it makes you feel any better about yourself but I don't want to encourage idiocy. I'm tired of this now, especially in the current political climate. Your governments will tell you that we are standing in "unity" or "fighting the war on terror" but the top and bottom of it is that utopia is a fantasy and we take things as they come. Politicians have a knack at twisting your fear and using it to push forward legislation, or policies, or even start drone strikes, that otherwise may have been prevented. And let's be honest, did they really need anymore ammo for their racist ideologies or genocide fantasies?

It is never good, or commendable, or even convenient that people should blow themselves up in airports, or shoot at crowds of people in concert stadiums, or crash planes into skyscrapers. It is made out to be good, and commendable, and convenient that we can separate or distance ourselves from these "savage beings" that do not supposedly exist within our own societies. But these people do come from our societies. They are not all "illegal immigrants" (asylum seekers), or speak with foreign accents, or wear religious headdresses or clothing. you cannot wage war against a concept that exists within us. You cannot shut out the "monsters", like it's as easy as closing the wardrobe door in a child's bedroom. You cannot resolve all conflict in the world by carpet bombing areas on a map- or any area not in alliance with the USA.

I feel for the families who have lost someone on this day to anything that can be described as "terror" or an "attack" and I do not exclude this to the families who lost someone to the bombings which happened on this particular day. Stop feeling pity. Stop dipping your toe in the pool of "equal human rights" at your own convenience- or fear- and act always in the interest of human life.

Haha, I've been called a "traitor" so often by my own mother, it's something one gets used to after a while. I just hate it when people point to what the OTHERS do wrong all the time. There was a time when the Middle East was a force to be reckoned with btw, and they weren't any better than we are today, so I don't really feel sorry for their poor little hurt macho prides.
